gill's story

Gillian Malmon is a member of the Philadelphia Teachers Learning Cooperative. She has taught early elementary grades in the School District of Philadelphia for 24 years. She is also an instructor in the Urban Teacher Apprenticeship Program at the University of Pennsylvania.

Rachael's story

Rachael is a high school social studies teacher in Chicago, Illinois.  In this video story, she argues for social justice teaching as a practice of continual reflection and change.

Jacinda and ella's stories

Since 2016 Jacinda Bowman and Ella Stanley have been teaching science, social studies, and language arts to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders at the James and Grace Lee Boggs School in Detroit. In this interview, they share how they have been teaching since Michigan schools closed their doors in March.
